Candidates must satisfy the requirements of at least one of the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) programmes in order to be eligible for Express Entry Canada:
The Federal Skilled Worker Program is Canada's main economic immigration route. At least one year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in a skilled occupation under theNational Occupational Classification TEERcategory 0, 1, 2, or 3in the previous ten years; validated intermediate or better language ability in English or French; and, for candidates educated outside of Canada, an educational credential (certificate, diploma, or degree) and an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report are required. Candidates must obtain at least 67 points in addition to meeting the FSWP's minimum work, language ability, and education requirements.
International students and foreign workers with Canadian experience are eligible for permanent residency under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) programme. In addition to meeting the requirements for language proficiency, applicants must have at least one year of specialised, technical, or skilled work experience in Canada within three years of the application date.
